SFD Alums to Play Free Concert at Columbus Commons

SFD alumni Steve King '68 and Tim King '69, with their band, The Navigators, will play a free concert on Friday, August 5 from 7pm to 10pm at the Columbus Commons. Although the event is free to attend, they ask that you bring a donation of newborn diapers, pull-ups or wipes to benefit Mommies Matter, an organization that supports single, pregnant women in need.

If you haven't had a chance yet, we are still able to accept submissions for our upcoming issue of our school magazine, The Mighty Pen, where we will feature alumni-owned restaurants throughout Ohio. To be included, please email Alumni Director Sarah Evans at sevans@desales.co with the following information by Friday, August 12: Name, Class Year, Name of Restaurant, Photo of You (at the restaurant if possible), Restaurant’s Logo, Type of Cuisine, answer to “What was your favorite lunch meal when you were at DeSales?”
FreeWill + St. Francis DeSales High School

August is National Make-A-Will Month, and we’re excited to share a new resource with our Stallion alumni. Thanks to SFD’s recent partnership with FreeWill, members of our community can use this secure, online estate planning tool to write their legal will for free. Nick Kellogg '10 has been hired as the Assistant to the Head Coach/ Director of Scouting at The Ohio State University for the Men’s Basketball program. 
Rosanna Sguerra '04 has been named the next Head Coach for the Capital Women’s Volleyball team.
Tyler Cordell '07 has been promoted to Assistant Head Coach for the Columbia Women’s Basketball Team.

Fun on the Field

The Boys Lacrosse and Girls Lacrosse programs hosted alumni games last month, resulting in lots of laughs and of course great competition on the field! We appreciate everyone who came out for these games; it is always a wonderful opportunity for our alums to play the current team members.
