Dear FVS Families,

I’m writing to share information about one confirmed case of COVID-19 in the FVS community identified in the results of yesterday’s testing, which have just arrived back from the lab. Following contact tracing, we have identified the students who will need to quarantine. These individuals and their families are being notified, and the process of getting them into quarantine is underway.

Day students will quarantine at home and boarding students will quarantine in the Perry residence halls, which have been reserved for this use, as well as one other residence hall where the cohort is affected. Logistical details about the quarantine such as meals, coordinating virtual attendance of classes, and daily outdoor activities will be communicated directly to those individuals.

Classes and programs for all others not in quarantine will continue as planned.

Given the timing of this information, I ask for your patience so that we may attend to the students, think through all of the pieces of the puzzle, and achieve the clarity we need to manage the best possible outcome for all involved.

Please look for additional information in the coming days and thank you in advance for your patience while we work through the details. In the meantime, take care, stay safe, and be well.

Sincerely,

William Webb
