Important update!
Hello, all-

I sent a message last week with all the information below the dotted line, but I wanted to add to that message with the new shelter-in-place order that came from Governor Evers today.

Beginning March 24, all non-essential businesses have been ordered to close and all citizens should stay home. Just like the grocery stores, our food pantry is considered an essential service, so we will continue to distribute food during the hours listed below. However, because of this shelter-in-place order, I am asking that you come pick up food boxes once per week. This is a change from our regular model, but given the circumstances, we really want to limit the amount of interactions everyone is having.

Beginning this week, you will receive a box (or two, depending on household size) of non-perishable food items, refrigerated items, frozen meat (depending on availability), and milk. These boxes are coming to us pre-packed from Second Harvest. We are not able to take special requests or swap items out of the boxes. If there is food you do not want or like, please feel free to give it to someone who will use it.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thank you for bearing with us as we navigate these challenging times. We are committed to continuing client services, they will just be modified to keep everyone's health and well-being in mind.

We are doing our best to keep all changes to our operations updated on the Coronavirus Updates page on our website ( https://momhelps.org/coronavirus-updates/) so please check that page often.

The two main areas I wanted to provide an update on are the food distribution and case management services.

FOOD DISTRIBUTION

Our Food Pantry, Clothing Center, and Main Office are currently closed. We are offering pre-packed boxes of food in a drive up method. The purpose of this is to limit the amount of person to person interactions there are. At this time, we are not able to take orders or customize boxes. We realize that means not everyone will be able to use all the food that is in the box. You are free to give the items you aren't able to use to others who can. Our goal is make sure people have access to food right now.

We will be operating the food box pick up on the following days/times:

Tuesdays - 12:00 PM - 1:30 PM
Thursdays - 12:00 PM - 1:30 PM
Saturdays - 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM

If these days or times change, we will make sure to send another update as soon as possible.

Both Middleton-Cross Plains and Madison School Districts are offering pick up breakfast and lunches.

CASE MANAGEMENT

The Main Office is closed, but the Case Managers are working remotely. If you are looking for assistance, please send an email to clients@momhelps.org  and our staff will be in touch. We are conducting appointments on the phone (you will be called from a blocked/no caller ID number), via email, or a chat function. We realize this is not an ideal method of service delivery, but we're trying our best under the current circumstances. We appreciate your flexibility!

Be well, be safe!
