It is no coincidence that our Annual Dinner Committee wanted to feature speakers that would hit important topics head on. Read more >

JOIN US ON MONDAY:
Message from the Chair
Although this message will be delivered in January at our first-ever virtual Annual Dinner, I am writing to you just days after the declaration of Delaware’s own Joe Biden as the President-Elect. His Vice-Presidential running mate, Kamala Harris, broke barriers as the first woman, first Black and first South Asian person elected to this office. This is a time of celebration and change but also a time of deep challenge for our community, our state, and our country. Read more >
Delaware's COVID-19 Vaccination Plan
The Delaware Division of Public Health is working with federal, state and local stakeholders to implement an efficient and equitable distribution of one or more COVID-19 vaccines to all Delaware communities. It is the goal of DPH to make safe and effective COVID-19 vaccination available through a phased allocation, or rollout, first to health care workers, including those who care for vulnerable populations, and other first responders, followed closely by vulnerable populations and critical infrastructure workers, and then expand opportunities that are inclusive of all who live or work in Delaware. Vaccine Development 101
FDA’s Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research (CBER) ensures that FDA’s rigorous scientific and regulatory processes are followed by those who pursue the development of vaccines. Vaccine development is a complex science. FDA’s scientific and regulatory advice to vaccine developers, as well as FDA’s evaluation to determine the safety and effectiveness of vaccines, are among the most robust in the world. Learn more >
COVID-19 Vaccine FAQs
A primer on vaccine allocation, prioritization, and timelines

The Food and Drug Administration has granted emergency use authorization (EUA) for COVID-19 vaccines developed by Pfizer and Moderna. These were among the more than 200 vaccine candidates in development in early 2020, and they are expected to be the first of multiple vaccines to become available in the United States in the coming months.
