Mark & Dorothy Danzker Scholarship For Excellence: A History
The Danzkers were long-time citizens of Winnipeg who contributed to the wellness of the community for years. During Mr. Mark Danzker's lifetime, he had established a fund at the Jewish Foundation of Manitoba.

Upon Mr. Danzker's passing, Mr. Lawrence Cohen (co-executor of the estate), looked at the broad Winnipeg community and continue to allocate funds to key and in-need organizations. It is Mr. Cohen who developed the Mark & Dorothy Danzker Scholarship For Excellence, granting funds to youth involved in the Folk Arts Council and who demonstrate active involvement in preserving Cultural Heritage.
