Needless to say, this has been a very challenging year. A formal year end event will not be happening.

The Board is trying to figure out what our options are for the off season or Holiday events.

If you are interested in helping with some ideas, please reply to: admin@lpgaamateursmnmetro.com
These will be forwarded to Sheila Mullen, Social Events Director.

President's Message
Greetings members. It's been a long, tough six months and we have been fortunate to be able to get out on the course this summer. A special thank you to our Board and volunteers who setup and ran our leagues this year under ever changing conditions. Our Chapter sets up leagues in the winter each year and had to put the schedule on hold and then revise everything for online registration. Our event team was also able to put together the fun MnMetro Open at River Oaks which was another success.

We invite everyone to play in the Fall golFLING event at Applewood Hills on September 20. Applewood is an 18 hole executive course (par 3 and 4 holes) that is a lot of fun to play and an easy walk. We also hope to see our members at the MGA Team Club on September 19 which is a fun 6-6-6 format.

Thank you for your membership and friendship through the game of golf. Stay safe and we will hope to see you at an off-season event in the near future as the situation allows.

Angie Christo, Minnesota Metro Chapter President

Nominations for Elections
How long have you been a Member, 5 years, 10 years, 15 years? Have you made lots of new friends you play golf and socialize with? Participated in leagues and other golf events? These are the great benefits of belonging to the LPGA Amateurs. But none of this happens if no one stepped up to serve on the Board. Is it your turn? This volunteer organization cannot operate without volunteers.

For our upcoming new year, there will be 3 open positions: President (1 year term), Director of Marketing (2 year term). Please consider running for one of these positions. The Board would be happy to give you information regarding these positions. Just email us at: admin@lpgaamateursmnmetro.com.
LPGA Amateurs Virtual Scramble
There is still time to sign up for the LPGA Amateurs Virtual Scramble. Please read all the rules as this is played like a 4-person Best Ball. A score card with each golfer's gross score must be submitted. The round must be played and entered by September 13th. Another incentive is 10% of the registration fee is returned to the MN Metro chapter!
