Folsom Cordova selects next Director of Communication and Community Engagement
Angela Griffin Ankhelyi, APR, has been named the next Director of Communication and Community Engagement, effective April 14.
A familiar face at the District, Angela Griffin Ankhelyi became the Community Outreach Coordinator in 2013, and later the Community Engagement Specialist in 2018. During her time in the Communication and Community Engagement department, she worked on several strategic marketing and communication campaigns, earning awards with the California School Public Relations Association, the National School Public Relations Association and the Public Relations Society of America - California Capital Chapter. Additionally, she has built and established partnerships with a variety of community organizations, civic groups and businesses that have brought valuable funds, resources and increased volunteerism to our schools and programs. She serves on the board of the California School Public Relations Association as the Partnerships Chair, as well as on the board of the Cordova Recreation and Parks Foundation. In 2019, she earned her Accreditation in Public Relations and has over 20 years' experience in communication, marketing and public relations in a wide variety of industries.
