Rodriguez High School’s
Valedictorian for the Class of 2020
Katherine Gerhardt
It takes a devoted individual to serve their community while also being an outstanding student. Katherine Gerhardt has been a highly dedicated volunteer with The Matt Garcia Foundation and in many other areas of the Fairfield community throughout her high school career as part of the school’s community service oriented club, Key Club. Katherine undertook leadership roles within the club and other areas at Rodriguez High School.

Katherine serves the community with the desire to make a lasting impact. She shares that volunteer work has been extremely rewarding for her as it gives her the opportunity to meet others, learn versatile skills, and improve the quality of life for others. Katherine’s classmate and Key Club member, Noor Randhawa, shares that Katherine has persevered through challenges in her life, while managing school and extracurricular activities. Noor feels inspired by Katherine’s resilience and by her dedication as a student and volunteer.
We congratulate Katherine for becoming Rodriguez High School’s Valedictorian for the Class of 2020. We recognize and thank her for the efforts she has dedicated toward her academics and in serving the community throughout her high school career.

Katherine plans to major in Bioengineering at UC Berkeley and then hopes to persue a M.D. at a medical school. She is considering becoming an anesthesiologist to make an instantaneous impact in the lives of others. We wish her the best in her future endeavors; we are certain that she will continue bettering the world we live in through her kind heart, leadership, and ongoing admirable efforts.
FFINEST Cloth Mask
We would like to give a huge shout out to our amazing Mom, Rita Courtemanche! She spent her time and talent to make over 250 masks with our logo and Matt’s picture on them. We were able to give these masks to frontline workers, family, and friends. We even shipped masks to Several other states. We had no idea that so many of you would in turn donate to Matt’s Foundation. We cannot thank everyone enough for your continued support. If you are in need of a mask Let us know. Please stay safe.

Sincerely,
Teresa Courtemanche, President

How to protect yourself and others
from Coronavirus Disease
Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds after you have been in a public place or after blowing your nose, coughing or sneezing.

Avoid close contact. Put distance between yourself and other people. Keep about 6 feet between yourself and others.

Cover your mouth and nose with a cloth cover. Everyone should wear a cloth face cover when they have to go out in public. The cloth face cover is meant to protect other people in case you are infected.

Cover coughs and sneezes with a tissue when you cough or sneeze or use the inside of your elbow. Immediately wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.

Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces daily. This includes tables, doorknobs, light switches, counter tops, handles, desk, phones, keyboards, toilets, faucets and sinks.
