News from Area 10 -
Meet Your Washington State Chair
|
Hello to everyone in Area 10, my name is David Ramsey-Warner and I live in the beautiful Yakima Valley!
I was born and raised in Southern California, and both parents were very active in the LA opera world. I am the oldest of 4 kids, and I've lived in CA, WA, KS, and NM. I was first introduced to handbells while attending CSU- Stanislaus in Turlock, Ca, and was immediately hooked. In the 90s, I joined Opus Handbell Ensemble under the direction of Richard Colla. I've rung in and directed several bell groups, and was glad to participate in the first Pinnacle Conference in Las Vegas in 2000, as well as Distinctly Bronze West in 2009 and 2011. I currently direct the Carillon Ringers at Yakima Covenant Church. My regular job is Area supervisor at Kohl's. I'm glad to serve you as the Washington state chair, and hope to see many of you at a future conference! My goal is to assist you any way I can in your local groups, or, if you're interested in putting a workshop together, let me know, I'm at your service. My email is wa.area10@handbellmusicians.org.

Bells of the Sound Summer Ringing Sessions
|
Do you go through withdrawal when your regular choir ends for the summer? Looking for an opportunity to play different positions, work on new techniques, and meet other members of the Puget Sound handbell community?
Join us on Tuesday evenings from 7 PM to 9 PM this summer for our Summer Ringing Sessions! Open to all ringers - beginners and pros, young and old - but general ringing skills are a plus. We'll be playing selections from our library ranging from Level 2 through Level 4. These are drop-in sessions - come as you are able.
Bring your gloves - and a friend!
