5 Star Reviews
Historic Seelye Mansion
Terry and Michael were great hosts making you feel like a guest and not visitor. Want to play on a 100+ year old Steinway & Sons piano, listen to an Edison cylinder phonograph and Victrola, bowl on one of few remaining box bowling alleys left in the world made by the company that would go on to invent Skee Ball? How about seeing the lab where late 1800s and early 1900s medicines were mixed, bottled and labeled, looking like it is ready for the next day's work? This is not a museum, it is a living time capsule, complete with all the original owners' furniture curated from the 1906 St Louis Louisiana Purchase Exposition and more.
