Famed civil rights leader Julian Bond once said, "Many are attracted to social service - the rewards are immediate, the gratification quick. But if we have social justice, we won't need social service." That is the rationale behind The Children's Trust presenting Social Equity Day on Friday, February 14 (Valentine's Day), from
9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The event will feature a groundbreaking seminar:
Integrating Social Justice Into Education and Practice. The event is
FREE but seating is limited so please register as early as possible at

The Children's Trust Parent Club - Opportunity for On-Site Family Engagement Activity *
The Children’s Trust has partnered with local parenting experts and Miami Dade County Public Schools (M-DCPS) to offer
FREE countywide workshops on relevant parenting topics. The 90-minute workshops are offered in English, Spanish, and Haitian Creole. Free childcare is provided for children 3-12 years old and parents have a chance to participate in a raffle at the end of the session.
For those providers with contracts that require a parent-engagement activity, hosting a workshop counts toward this requirement.

The Research and Evaluation Analyst is a critical member of both cross- and inter-departmental teams at The Children’s Trust who engages in proactive problem-solving and critical thinking/analysis related to the design and effectiveness of various child, youth and family services. Primary responsibilities include: contributing to effective program and systems designs for The Children’s Trust’s priority investments in child, youth and family services; designing and maintaining sound data collection tools and systems to capture meaningful program, operational and community data in a user-friendly, accessible manner; and analyzing and making meaning from available data to tell our stories using compelling visualizations and reports with an intentional focus on the specific audience and purpose of the message.

Director of Family Development Initiatives *
The Advocacy Network on Disabilities is looking for a director of family development initiatives to supervise staff and oversee grants providing case management, family strengthening and parenting. Must be a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Mental Health Counselor, or related licensee; or be a registered intern having passed the licensing exam. A minimum of 5 years practice experience with successful progressive supervisory and grant management experience. Experience working with children with disabilities and their families, and knowledge of community resources strongly preferred. The position pays $56,000-$60,000 a year and generous benefits including 100% employer paid medical insurance.
