Cindy O'Doherty

A BIG congratulations goes out to Cindy who took part in her first ITF tournament in over 3 years and not only that but with her partner they won the ladies doubles. Cindy has always been a very active tennis player and reached a career high ranking of number 2 in Canada on the Senior Circuit, when unfortunately had to undergo two knee surgeries at the end of 2019. After two plus years of rehab and sheer will and determination, Cindy is back competing. You can find her on the courts beating up on the guys and when she is not doing that, she volunteers on the Executive Team and currently also runs our Thursday Morning Senior Round Robin. Way to represent Credit Valley and a BIG CONGRATS to Cindy!

Sven Rowaert

We want to wish Sven a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY who celebrated his big day on Friday on the courts of Credit Valley! You can find Sven playing doubles with a group of friends every week. It is easy to recognize him because of his big smile and laid back personality. Sven is originally from Belgium and has the sophisticated accent to go along. All his friends refer to him as a super hero on the courts because his special power is the ability to get to every ball. Watch out for the cloud of clay the next time you are playing in the evening because Sven might be chasing down all the balls driving his friends crazy by getting all their winners back Djokovic style. Happy Birthday Sven!
