New Poles Installed on McGraw

Happy faces were the order of the day on March 13th, as the MBC celebrated the installation of the decorative poles that will hold baskets of cascading flowers.

Members of the Magnolia Beautification Committee had a ribbon cutting ceremony in acknowledging a key element of the streetscape improvements and a critical element of Phase I. The entire project has five phases .

The goal of the Reimagine Magnolia beautification project is to make Magnolia Village more pedestrian-friendly while improving the business climate for visitors and residents.

What's Next? More improvements!

The next several weeks will see more activity as Phase I of the Reimagine Magnolia beautification project is in full implementation.

The refurbished green benches will be replaced, and new sturdy, attractive, and American with Disabilities Act-approved bistro tables and chairs will be installed.

As pictured to the right, in an art rendering by volunteer artist (and popular Starbucks barista) Samuel Case, the outside seating options will encourage Village visitors and customers to linger, enjoy the ambiance, and buy!

Anticipate a flurry of cleaning, prepping, and light construction as the spruced up and new seating are installed on McGraw Street, between 32nd and 33rd Avenue.

POWER WASHING

Heads up. On the mornings of March 21st and possibly, March 28th, Joe Devaney and his crew from Lawnskeeper Landscaping Company will be volunteering time, talent, and equipment to power wash the sidewalks on McGraw, between 32nd and 33rd Avenues. Thank you to Joe for preparing our sidewalks for the arrival of the newly cleaned benches and the addition of bistro tables and chairs.

We express our heartfelt support for those Magnolians who are facing the impacts of the COVID-19 outbreak. We also strongly support our local businesses who are facing unprecedented challenges.

We stand ready to continue to volunteer in support of the Village. We lock arms with the Magnolia Chamber of Commerce in doing all we can to advocate for shopping local , sharing available public resources to protect lives and support small business, and act as an advocate for our neighborhood.
