From Father David +
WE ARE DUST AND TO DUST WE SHALL RETURN

Don’t be confused, I have not jumped to Ash Wednesday in our liturgical cycle of events, rather, I want to bring up a topic that can be difficult to talk about and address for ourselves and for our family members. I am doing this to shine light on the choices and decisions to utilize the Columbarium or Memorial Garden as we contemplate the disposition of ashes for those who have chosen cremation as part of their final wishes in life.

I am also doing this to offer to those who desire to plan for their celebration of life service an opportunity to sit down with your pastor to indicate your desires for the services that can be done at Resurrection. Planning now for the future helps to ensure that what you want to be done on your behalf can be recorded for the time it is necessary to reflect on your wishes. Meeting with your clergy is important, so you are comfortable in knowing that the services to help you and your family are already in place.

The Columbarium and Memorial Garden are set aside in memory of those who have died in Christ and are present with us in prayer always. When we gather as the Church Militant, we acknowledge our loved ones who have joined the Church Triumphant, to declare our praise to God. Those who have died with Christ, have risen with Him and He binds us together as His people.

The Columbarium and Memorial Garden are a special place to remember our loved ones who have gone before us and the love and grace of God which will rejoin us all one day, for all of Eternity. For more information about purchasing a niche in the columbarium or preparing to be in the memorial garden please contact Bill Carle or Elaine Gilligan.

Please contact Fr. David with a time to meet and discuss your wishes as you are ready.

“He came out and went, as was His custom, to the Mount of Olives; and His disciples followed Him.”Luke 22:39
In Remembrance
THE REV. DR. WILLIAM (BILL) BEACHY +
Passed into God's loving hands on Friday, July 22, 2022.

Grant, O Lord, to all who are bereaved the spirit of faith and courage, that they may have strength to meet the days to come with steadfastness and patience; not sorrowing as those without hope, but in thankful remembrance of your great goodness, and in the joyful expectation of eternal life with those they love. And this we ask in the Name of Jesus Christ our Savior. Amen.

Funeral service arrangements are still pending.
