RELIEF 4 MUSICIANS
Today musicians who earn a living while performing on the road must face the stark reality of being unable to pay the rent, utilities or buy food. Many school classrooms nationwide are empty as students remain at home during the quarantine to slow the spread of COVID-19. The coronavirus has silenced the music industry to a large degree and many are wondering what the future holds.

So this past June, working with our partners and some very talented artists, the Foundation started the Relief 4 Musicians benefit concert series on Facebook. Through online interviews and performances, musicians Sheila E., Russ Kunkel, Jessica Lynn, and Joe Bonamassa each entertained fans with stories of their music career and performed a few songs.
Jessica Lynn also added a technological angle to our Relief 4 Musicians concert series by teaming up with StraxAR and using its augmented reality application for a virtual scavenger hunt. Fans looked for clues on her Facebook video and then using the app they unlocked new songs by the Country music artist.

Exclusive instruments and merchandise sold at auction

As an added bonus to the concert series, artists signed guitars, drums, CD/DVD box sets, and glossy photos to provide a little something extra to this already memorable experience.
Jessica Lynn signed D'Angelico guitar
Fans of Country music star Jessica Lynn won at auction signed merchandise and this beautiful acoustic guitar donated by D'Angelico Guitars, which sold for over $900!
Joe Bonamassa signed Gibson guitars
Gibson Gives donated this lovely Hummingbird acoustic guitar and it raised over $3900 while the famous Les Paul Goldtop electric guitar sold at auction for more than $4,100!
We are grateful to everyone for the generous donations made through Facebook, our donation pages, as well as purchasing the signed auction items. None of this would have been possible without the help of our partners, the artists, and of course, the supporters of the Foundation. Your participation has generated funds so we may help some of the musicians and music programs today struggling because of the pandemic.

Together we can GIVE MUSIC LIFE!
