2022 Renovation of Naperville’s Springbrook Golf Course Starts August 1st |

Springbrook Golf Course will be closing beginning Monday, August 1st, to allow renovation work to begin on the nearly 50 year-old golf course. The closing of the course is necessary to allow contractors to completely rebuild all tees and bunkers, complete drainage work, update green surrounds, and add new bridges and cart paths. Work is expected to be completed in the late fall, and the course will re-open in the late spring/early summer of 2023.
While the construction is taking place, the clubhouse, practice areas and driving range will remain available for patrons and will open daily at 7:00 am. Watch for daily merchandise sales and beverage specials that can be enjoyed on the patio, or under the tent on the driving range. Naperbrook Golf Course will remain fully open.

Ravisloe Country Club – Recently Unveiled New Donald Ross Hand-Carved Replica Statue

Ravisloe Country Club recently unveiled a hand-carved life-like Donald Ross wooden sculpture as you walk up to the pro shop entrance.
As golfers know, Ravisloe has many tree-lined fairways and an abundance of large trees throughout the facility. Many courses opt to cut trees down when they are in danger of damaging the property or the assets of their golf course. Ravisloe decided to turn a lemon into lemonade or a tree stump into a hand-carved statue of Donald Ross!
Ravisloe’s General Manager, Bob Carpenter, got the fantastic idea to take a very large old tree with towering limbs --- that were in danger of falling on their historic clubhouse and rows of golf carts staged outside --- and find a skilled sculptor who could carve a Donald Ross statue out of the huge remaining tree trunk. They found an extremely talented individual out of Naperville, who was able to hand-carve the life-like statue with a chainsaw in three days! Amazing work on site!
Ravisloe provided photos as the work was started, during the carving stages, and the finished product. It’s an amazing replica! Come out and see it!
