Alfredo was referred to Mission of Mercy after he had a toe amputated due to his diabetes. He came to us with high A1C and high blood pressure. Our medical staff treated him and provided him with an at home blood pressure machine and a diabetes home monitoring kit so that he could track his numbers on a daily basis. Alfredo then takes a picture of his blood pressure and A1C log and texts it to the nurse weekly.
"They are great people and they help me out. I feel comfortable talking with them about my medical issues because they listen. My numbers have gotten better. I live outside Corpus Christi and don't have a vehicle so they help me with arranging transportation for my appointments and my labs. They have always been good to me and are great people who help me with everything they can. I know that the nurses are very busy but they make time for me when I have questions or need help."
