Veteran's Golf Outing

The Calhoun County Veterans Affairs Department is offering 9 holes of golf for free to veterans and their families on Saturday, Aug. 13 at Binder Park Golf Course. Enjoy 9 holes, a 3-hole practice course, and driving range. To register, contact the Calhoun County VA at 269-969-6735 or va@calhouncountymi.gov.

Trail Run Sign Up

Registration is open for the 2022 Calhoun County Trail Run, which takes place Oct. 22. Participants can choose to run 8K or 20K through Calhoun County's Bridge Park and Ott Biological Preserve. This year, the run will start and end in the newly renovated Kimball Pines Park. See you there!

Juvenile Justice Task Force

Calhoun County Sheriff Steve Hinkley sits on the Michigan Task Force on Juvenile Justice, which last week met to vote on a list of 25 policy recommendations that would affect the juvenile justice system statewide. Next step is working with the Legislature to make these recommendations law.

Calhoun County Emergency Management and Dispatch are moving to Rave Alert powered by Smart 911 as the method for notifying residents when there is an emergency. Sign up for these notifications at calhouncountymi.gov/rave or text CALHOUN to 67283.

Calhoun County Government is using CivicClerk as its agenda software for Board of Commissioner Meetings. Agendas, live streams and recordings of the meetings, and minutes will all be published to this page. Agendas and minutes for past meetings are also archived in this software.
