Whereas, Lutherans celebrate landmark events:
The 30th day of January 2020 was proclaimed by Don Keil, Mayor of the City of Seguin, Texas as Emanuel's Lutheran Church Day in the City of Seguin, Texas. Members of the congregation joined Pastor Marcus at the City Council Chamber for the proclamation signing.
We've witnessed a century and a half of growth in this community! We are Emanuel's. We love Seguin. We are better together.

SCOUT SUNDAY IS FEBRUARY 9, 2020
A message from Lesley Vinka, River District Executive
at Boy Scouts of America, Alamo Area Council
In February, Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts across America celebrate Scout Sunday in honor of a Scout’s “Duty to God” and their commitment to the Scout Law that says “A Scout is Reverent.” The Scouting program at Emanuel’s Lutheran Church is more than just an activity for our youth to learn about the outdoors. Scouting develops strong character and life skills vital to building ethical leaders for our families, churches, and communities. Scouts learn self-reliance and to solve problems, become leaders through experience, give back to the community, and learn to respect all people. It also provides fun, fellowship, and training to our youth as well as youth in our community. It emphasizes honesty, self-reliance, and respect.
Through a year-round program, scouting affects character, citizenship, and personal fitness. But the success of our Scouting depends on our Chartering Organization, Emanuel’s Lutheran! We could not offer this program to the Youth in our Community without your Support. Boy Scout Troop 107 is celebrating its 96
th
year and is one of the oldest Troops in our Council. Cub Scout Pack 107 celebrates its 11
th
year and is excited about its growth and opportunity to make a difference in our Community. From all of the Scouts in Troop and Pack 107, we would like to thank the Emanuel’s Lutheran Congregation for their continued support of our program.
