Vol. 3 - Ed. 14
Message From Kalpesh Jhaveri, Co-VP
There is too much negative information being shared in the media (social and mainstream) causing people to worry. There are a few positives coming out of this, that should be highlighted. I do sense a pretty strong 4th quarter in 2020 for the industry.
  • Historically, this country and its citizens are resilient and bounce back from every disaster or depression. This crisis will be no different and people will celebrate over-coming the virus and enjoying life all over again.

  • Manufacturing of goods has come to a near halt with imports/exports almost non-existent. This will help existing inventories sell until new goods hit the pipeline.

  • Businesses will try to recover lost sales as much as possible and those that remain in good financial/credit standing will reap these benefits sooner. Everyone will want to make up the shortfall as much as they can and companies and clients with good reputation will see benefits of this clearly.

  • Many people have learned and appreciated the value of "stay at home" while working less intensely. This may lead to some early retirements for some or downsizing. Those who remain will figure out how to be more efficient and productive.

I could continue to show you the silver lining but the best advice for now: keep your chin up and your vision far. That is the only way to wade through the muddy waters.

Letter to the Editor
We are all under stress.

Some more than others.

Some are stressed in fear of the unknown financial future.
Some are in fear of waking up having to spend another day at home. 😄

Maybe IF we could just embrace the helplessness, put our fears aside for a moment and just enjoy this time alone with the family.

We have all been granted a time out. The entire world has stopped. No rat race, no pressure to compete. We won't be left behind! This silver lining will most likely never occur again in our lifetime.

A part of me believes that we will look back at these days we were "stuck" at home with our kids, parents, partners, friends and realize how special it was to have their undivided attention and physical presence.

Only if we just stopped to realize this now. What an amazing opportunity. Teenagers at home, spending time with little ones, having the time to do something you have always thought about. Meals with the family, opportunities to catch up, connect, re connect with loved ones while everything else is on hold.

Reach out to friends, family, clients and take this time to let them know you are there for them. A simple phone call, text, zoom cocktail, facetime can have such an big impact.

Just be.. stressing is only going to make us sick.

Cheers to you all.
