Another week of #StayingAtHome and I know some of you are feeling a bit isolated! It’s been a challenge not engaging with members in-person and having that connection. So…we are rolling out more virtual networking to keep you connected! Our first virtual Brewing Up Business was a huge success, so we are launching our Chamber Connect this week. An hour of online virtual networking and connection. Grab your favorite drink, login to zoom and CONNECT with other members.
 
The Facebook Member Group continues to grow! If you are a member, please request access via Facebook Member Group . We are sharing out COVID-19 updates as well as lighter topics such as food pics, etc. Come join in and CONNECT with fellow Chamber Members. Share what you’ve been up to during this time. We love hearing from our members.

Harris County Business Survey
Below is a link to a survey that will help evaluate the impacts to the business community within Harris County from the Coronavirus (COVID-19). This data will help evaluate the businesses being impacted by this event. The Harris County COVID Business Survey is provided as a situational awareness resource tool for Harris County Office of Homeland Security & Emergency Management (HCOHSEM).
Are you looking for an SBA Lender for the PPP program? Check the latest list of SBA lenders, from the SBA Houston District Office, which are offering PPP. If you don’t have a lending relationship, this list compiled by the SBA Houston District Office highlights those lenders who are accepting new clients.

ChamberCares Has Launched!
As you’ve likely seen, we launched ChamberCares to support our healthcare workers and first responders!

We already see members supporting members and at the same time getting needed food to frontline responders. In fact, this week there are multiple ChamberCares food deliveries scheduled for both Legacy Community Health and SignatureCare ER. Thank you, to our corporate partners, Maggiano's , who generously donated food to Legacy.

How about our amazing member ORION EMS , who donated food last week through ChamberCares to some very appreciative nurses. The food was supplied by Chamber Member and participating ChamberCares member, Harold’s Restaurant and Tap Bar . Check out the video from Harold’s!

Support Local
Please continue to support LGBTQ and Allied businesses. Have you seen the Chamber’s Support Local page? Buy gift cards and order online from a Chamber Member. Also, our nonprofits, many of which have had to cancel their spring fundraisers, need our support – please donate to those whose events you would have supported or consider an extra gift to nonprofits that are really struggling right now. Peruse our Chamber Directory or go online and call one of our members to say: “Hi, I’m a Greater Houston LGBT Chamber Member and just wanted to check in and see how you are doing and what I can do to support you."

How Can You Help This Week?
Join us in an effort to infuse revenue into our local economy by ordering takeout or delivery for breakfast, lunch and/or dinner this week from a Chamber member. We know that spending money in our local economy helps grow our general fund base, which will in turn support our residents, businesses and community as a whole.
