GRACE NOTES
September 15 - 22, 2020
We continue to be church together, deployed in the name of our Savior Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit continues to be at work in us and through us, and we continue to share God's grace with the world.

Stay up-to-date with the latest information by visiting our COVID-19 page:
While we are physically apart in the coming weeks, there are still many ways for us to be church together. We invite you to connect with one another by phone and make use of the resources in this publication, too!
Sundays with Grace

Our Sunday morning worship and fellowship opportunities are going strong!

We have been enjoying worshiping together via Facebook Premiere at 10am (and we know many others are also worshiping with us on Facebook and YouTube throughout the day). Our Facebook Live Coffee Hours at 11am continue to provide thought-provoking conversation as well as fun insights and connections with one another. Many friends, family members, and visitors also join us, and we are so glad to have these opportunities to be together while apart!

We look forward to being with you online again this Sunday!

WORSHIP ASSISTANT VIDEOS CONTINUE

We have been blessed to see one another in worship through our online worship assistants!

If you are interested in providing a worship assistant video, please click here to sign up for this Sunday, September 20, and Pr. Gregg will contact you with the details you'll need.

Thanks to all who have helped lead us in worship so far and all those who will be leading us in the weeks to come!
Men's Bible Study

Join us for a Men's Bible Study on Sunday mornings at 9am via Zoom. Those interested in participating should contact Pr. Gregg to get added to the Realm group where the meeting link is posted. Specifically, we are currently studying "Man Alive" by Patrick Morley.
Children, Youth, and Adult Sunday School

This fall, our Learning Committee is creating at-home Sunday School for our 2 year olds - 12th graders! We will be using "An Illustrated Earth: Celebrating God's Creation" and exploring the world God has made, beginning on September 20th.

There are specific materials for different age groups, but we'll all study the same Scripture passages each week. Materials will be delivered to our children and youth this week.

This curriculum can also be used by adults and families! If you are not in the 2yr - 12th grade range, but would like to receive the materials for this fall's Creation Sunday School, please email Pr. Rachel here.

What's Happening with Hospitality?
Our Equipping Ourselves for Hospitality Goal for 2020 is well underway! A lot will be happening in the next few months, and we want to share the excitement with you! We'll use this block to post updates on the projects, as well as ways you can take part, so keep an eye out each week.

+Our Conference Room has been cleared out, and a table and chairs are being selected and will be ordered by the end of the month (check back soon, we'll need volunteers to help assemble these pieces when they arrive)

+This morning, we finalized the list of rooms to be painted and made plans for paint colors (those who volunteered to paint can expect an email ASAP, and we'd be glad for even more help, it's a many-step process!)

+We're gathering quotes for window treatments that will brighten our space, look great from the outside, and provide more safety for evening meetings.

+We're exploring options for freshening up the Fellowship Hall and talking to several professionals about their recommendations for the space.

This is just the beginning of what we're working on; even more work will begin in October!

If you haven't yet volunteered, and would like to be part of these great projects, click here to let the Planning Team know. Thanks to those who have already signed up to help with various projects throughout our building!

Your continued generosity this year has paved the way for us to jump into these projects, knowing we have the financial and faith-filled support we need to make our Hospitality goal a reality! Thank you!
Food is a universal language of love - share some love with our WELCM Students!
WELCM has begun their fall programming as students return to campus. While many things are different for the students, the love God and Grace have for them has not changed, and we want them to know that!

One of the ways we can care for our WELCM students is to feed them a delicious meal. There are still three evenings available for you to share God's love through food.

If you'd like to provide a meal (or funding for a meal) on October 6th, October 20th, or November 3rd, please contact please contact Olga-Maria, omcruz@welcm.org. She'll share the details on how and when to deliver the meal, as well as dietary restrictions to be mindful of.

Thank you for feeding and loving our WELCM students!
I just wanted to thank everyone for all the prayers, calls and cards before and after my surgery. I really appreciate it. I always know that I can count on my church family.

Help our Kids & Families with School!

Do you love a certain school subject? Are you passionate about education? You could help our Grace families thrive in hybrid/virtual school this year!

In talking to parents about the upcoming school year, the current number-one support Grace can offer is HOMEWORK and TUTORING HELP. Parents are going to be doing their best to help their kids learn and thrive in this environment, but we can all use a little help, especially for those subjects outside of our everyday fields.

If you'd like to offer your support to our families, please click HERE.
Thank you for supporting our families!
Young Youth & GYM are back in session!

We had a great kickoff on Sunday!

More information about this year has been emailed directly to YY & GYM families. Please email Pr. Rachel with any questions.
We want YOU to participate in the next virtual hymn sing!

Young or old, if you love hymns as much as we do, send us an email (music@gracerockhill.com) so we can send you more information about how to rehearse with us and add your voice to our sound for the next hymn sing!
Offering Our Gifts to God - Monetary Offering

Part of our worship is offering our gifts to God. While we are apart, it is still faithful to offer our gifts. You can give in several ways:
  • Give online by clicking here (and you have the option to offset the cost of giving online)
  • Set up giving though your bank
  • Mail your offering to the church office.

Thank you for continued faithful giving!
Gifts & Talents Pictures

Our worship has been enhanced by your photos of projects, experiences, and joys these last few months - thank you for sharing! We would love to see more of what you're doing - please send photos to our Video Editor, Craig Allen by clicking here.
