MAY 3 - 4TH SUNDAY OF EASTER
Greetings!

Churches around the world hear on the 4th Sunday of Easter the parable of the Good Shepherd. Sunday's message is about how do we hear the voice of the Good Shepherd in this time, and how will that shape the way we live.

Peace,
PV

Special thank you to those who helped make our online worship possible this weekend, a powerful witness that even though space may separate us, it is the love of God in Christ which connects and re-connects us this day and always (Ann Bell, Matthew Cheesman, Olivia Cheesman, Janette Clausen, Kyle Hanshaw, Neil Haverlah, Lyn Heskett, Catherine Hicks, Jane Jones, Arlene Koester, Judy Krasner, The Krobot Family, Craig Orton, Fred Pfaff, Tom Pfaff, Anita Reagan, Jerry Schappe, Jan Starkey, Don Trapp, The Virdell Family, The Wing Family). Special thanks also to the Pfaff for use of their bakehouse dock for our Thanksgiving for Baptism location!
REMEMBER

It's the first Sunday of the month (Helping Center Sunday). They are in special need of canned meat and canned corn right now. Place in the HELPING CENTER BIN by the Portico doors! Thank you!

DWELLING IN THE WORD
Martin Luther argued that “the ears are the only organs of a Christian,” since it is through the ear that life begins, through hearing the preached Word of God.

Read scripture from YOUR Bible at home. Remember the story of who gave you or how you got your Bible. May this story remind you of your connection to Christ & others.

ACTS 2:42-47 (a look at a community shaped by resurrection)

Our Lutheran publishing house has put out a NEAT free resource this Easter season.
REMEMBERING OUR COMMUNION
One thing that many miss is sharing in Holy Communion.  This time invites us to turn our question from, "How do we receive Holy Communion?” to “How does the Word of God come to us and how do we receive the Word of God?
PRAYER OF THE PEOPLE
Prayer is central to the life of faith because it connects us to God and each other, a reminder that we are never socially distanced in Christ. Please say these names aloud as a way of lifting them up to God this day. Names in bold were added this past week. You are welcome in this time of prayer to include your own joys and concerns.

Stewardship quote for the week:
"Even if I knew that tomorrow the world would go to pieces, I would still plant an apple tree." - Martin Luther

If you’re not using electronic giving, you can still mail your offering to the church at 1803 Highway 1431 West, Marble Falls, TX 78654 . And if you’re not already a sustaining member of our ministry through our Consecration Sunday process, I can’t think of a more important time to step in.
