INCLUSIONARY ZONING IN LONG BEACH PASSES PLANNING COMMISSION
On February 20th, the Long Beach Planning Commission heard the City's Inclusionary Zoning Policy, and passed the recommendations made in the staff report . There were only two changes made; 1. The reapportionment of the income-level percentages within the inclusionary zoning allocations, and 2. Areas 1 and 2 would both be implemented beginning in October 2020. BIA-LAV testified against a mandated policy and instead suggesting a voluntary, incentive-based program. The Planning Commission recommendations will now go to the City Council at a yet to be determined date. For questions, please contact BIA-LAV Director of Government Affairs, Diana Coronado, here .
