Hosted by Dartmouth Prof. of Economics Andrew Samwick.

Transplanting isn't easy

Our 12th guest shares an experience of community informed by her early upbringing in Southern California, and the contrast with her experience here in the Upper Valley, where there is a huge difference in her sense of belonging.

Intersections was created by Michelle and Julius, co-workers and friends who wanted to create an open-ended platform for sharing our experiences of community in the Upper Valley.  To share your story or questions, you’re invited to email them at: intersections@catv8.org

Dear "Fell-Out-of-Reading-For-Fun," Help is On the Way!

(and oops, we goofed!)

Last week we gave the wrong description for Episode 12. Here's the right one: The booksellers come to the rescue of "Tom," who asks via Facebook:  "I’d like to get back into reading for pleasure again, but nothing has really gotten me super excited. Unfortunately, with the rise of streaming on TV it can be hard to get motivated to sit down and read. I’m trying to re-ignite my love of reading. Can you help?”

Then help your middle schooler find fabulous summer historical fiction in Episode 13!

Shelf Help is a collaboration between the Book Jam, a nonprofit designed to inspire readers; CATV Upper Valley media community; three Upper Valley bookstores: Yankee Bookshop in Woodstock, VT; the Norwich Bookstore in Norwich, VT; and Still North Books & Bar in Hanover, NH.
