Archbishop Sample
- Limited Re-opening Update – Archbishop Sample met with his area vicars this morning to continue discussing a plan for limited re-opening of parish Masses. The Archbishop has not yet determined a date, but is looking at some time before the end of May as a possibility for very limited re-opening. He wants to work in accord with the Governor’s directives and health officials’ guidelines. Parishes may have to phase-in the limited re-opening protocols on different dates and schedules than neighboring parishes. Charity and understanding is asked of all parishioners as pastors determine what will work best for their parishes. Equitable sign-up systems are envisioned for those who may want to attend. Social distancing will be maintained during Masses, along with proper cleaning and sanitizing between gatherings. More information to come next week.
- Attention Families and Parishes! You are Invited to participate in the re-consecration of U.S. and the Archdiocese of Portland to the Blessed Mother. The following texts can be adapted by families and parishes to consecrate themselves to the Blessed Mother: English / Spanish.
