The health, safety and welfare of our property owners, residents, employees, visitors and businesses are priority one for Hot Springs Village. We encourage social distancing or sheltering in place to prevent COVID19 from spreading in our community.
Many of our local businesses offer delivery, online ordering, gift certificates and other creative methods to serve their customers while maintaining safe distancing. Please support these businesses.
Today, Gov. Asa Hutchinson announced that gyms and fitness centers in Arkansas will be allowed to reopen on May 4.
There will be limitations placed on the facilities. Staff and people who have been to certain states will be screened for coronavirus symptoms. Equipment will be sanitized frequently and patrons must maintain a 12 foot distance while working out or in a class. No pools, showers or saunas will be open.
POA leadership is in the process of establishing re-open plans for POA-operated restaurants, fitness center, pickleball and the RV park. Following tomorrow's briefing from the Governor and the additional expected guidance, a summary of those plans will be included in our next COVID-19 update.
Hutchinson said that Arkansas is at 3,255 cases. Of those, 95 people are hospitalized and 23 are on ventilators. There have been 61 deaths in Arkansas, 22 of which were in nursing homes.

A statewide map is available that shows national, state and county numbers in regards to COVID-19. As of April 30 at 2:30 p.m., the United States deaths attributed to COVID-19 are 61,547.

Saline & Garland Counties
As of Thursday, 64 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in Saline County and 1,134 have tested negative. Of those testing positive, 42 have recovered. The total number of people who have died in Saline County remains at one.
In Garland County, 115 people have tested positive for COVID-19 and 2,050 have tested negative. Of the people infected, 81 have recovered. There have been no deaths resulting from Garland County cases.
