Athletics are currently on-hold as part of the COVID-19 response. In the meantime, we wanted to take the chance to highlight some of our amazing Senior athletes and musicians we have here at BHS! Check in each week for more senior highlights!
OUR FABULOUS LACROSSE SENIORS
Sophie has been an integral part of our offense for the last four years. She is a quick, smart attacker, with a knack for finding small spaces and sneaking away from defenders. Involved with the program since 4th grade, Sophie is also a dedicated and loyal teammate, always ready with a positive word and a smile. She was selected as a 2020 captain in part due to overwhelming support from her teammates. Sophie is also a fantastic youth coach, working mostly with the first and second graders. Watching her share her love of the game with the little ones has been wonderful to watch. Sophie was accepted to her first choice school, UW, and plans to attend in the fall.
Kate O'Hara
Kate O'Hara has absolutely anchored our defense for four years now. She has grown into a fantastic and vocal leader, always ready to bring up her teammates, offer them direction, and assist with newer players. Kate is fiercely competitive, incredibly determined, and brings a quiet intensity to the field. She was a great choice as a 2020 captain due to her on-field expertise and years of experience. Kate has been with this program since 5th grade, played for multiple select teams over the course of her career, volunteered with our youth program, and is also an incredible student!
Kate Kooley
Kooley is one of the most coachable athletes I have ever worked with, and has made an incredible transformation over the last three years. From leading the JV team sophomore year, to utility player on varsity junior year, to a confident and strong starting attacker her senior year, Kooley has worked so hard to develop her skills and carve out her role on this team. She is a wonderfully supportive teammate - friendly, encouraging, and welcoming to everyone. She will attend UW in the fall - we will miss her laid-back vibe, warm personality, and drive to better both herself and her teammates

SENIORS - 2020 - 12年级

- 星期四，2020年4月9日，下午2:00-3:00：由学区董事Ivan Duran主持，所有贝尔维尤学区毕业生都将参加。
- 星期一，2020年4月20日，下午1:45-2:45：由BHS校长Vic Anderson主持，所有BHS毕业生都将参加。

JUNIORS - 2021 - 11年级
Every year the junior class at BHS has a raffle to raise funds to lower the cost of senior events such as prom and graduation.
Our raffle includes: 4 Night Getaway in a villa at the Westin Los Cabos for 6 guests, Cabo restaurant giftcard, and $750 cash.
Our goal is to raise $30,000 by selling 2,000 raffle tickets for $15 each.
We still need a few more sellers to sell just 25 tickets each to achieve our goal! You may sell tickets to other BHS parents, co-workers, family members, or you may purchase them yourselves. You will have until the drawing on April 23 to sell them. We will provide email templates and marketing materials to help you sell.
We also really need parents to buy tickets! THANK YOU TO ALL OF OUR FABULOUS SELLERS BELOW! Please contact one if you would like to purchase.

TEAM JAPANESE BLAST!
If you are interested in Japanese culture, Japanese anime, or take Japanese class and understand Japanese, why don't you join us, Team Japanese Blast? Team Japanese Blast is a group of parent and student volunteers who are engaged in translating the PTSA newsletter The Bellevue Blast into Japanese.
Hours for translation will qualify for volunteer hours, a graduation requirement!

SUBMISSIONS - 1 Weekly BELLEVUE BLAST EDITION
The Blast will be delivered once a week on Tuesday mornings. The deadlines for submitting articles are as follows:
- School news and PTSA articles - Friday deadline
- Athletics and Activities articles - Sunday deadline
- Submissions should be in plain text in the body of your email message or in a Word document.
- Items submitted may be accepted, rejected, or edited at our discretion.
- Please use a separate email for each article submitted.
- Titles should be included in the Subject line.
- Images may be included as JPEG or PNG files.
- Submissions received after Friday/Sunday will NOT be in the Tuesday issue, but will be in the following week's issue.
