Make Mental Health a Priority
From our Vice President:
Stamford Cradle to Career would like to extend our deepest gratitude to both our investors and many volunteers who collaborate with us throughout the year. Our collective impact work is not possible without the generous contribution and commitment of so many. You are so valued. Thank you!

As we enter into the month of July, we want to recognize Minority Mental Health Awareness month. It is important to highlight perspectives on mental health across backgrounds and communities. Through candid and courageous stories of lived experience, mental health champions can share their resilience and recovery, emphasizing the importance of culture and identity in the mental health movement.

Bridge to College is one of our key summer initiatives that is now in full swing. We have four dedicated counselors supporting our Stamford high school graduates with the college enrollment process. We also have seven workshops to help students prepare for that next step.

Do not miss the many ways to engage in learning and networking this summer. Our next Police Accountability Law forum is this Saturday, July 9 at UConn Stamford. On July 13 we are co-hosting a facilitator training for Raising Highly Capable Kids, a 13-week evidence-based parenting program. We have a Restorative Practices booster training on August 9 and two-day School Climate and Restorative Practices trainings August 1-4. Phew!

Finally, please consider joining the SC2C team at the national StriveTogether Convening September 21-23. It is a wonderful opportunity to network, learn from, and learn with communities across the country.

Best,
Lauren Scopaz
