Student check-out
Staff at Ray-Pec East Middle School stopped for a photo during the student check-out process. Based on their last names, students were assigned a day to stop by and return school-owned property, such as Chromebooks, and to pick up student belongings. Students and their parents stayed in vehicles during the process. It's the last day of school!
May 22 is the last day to submit schoolwork for the 2019-2020 school year
Yard signs have popped up throughout the community to honor students and staff!
The 2019-2020 school year ends this week, with today, May 22, as the final day to submit any coursework.

In an incredible turn of events, a global pandemic changed the trajectory of our school year.

On March 12, we communicated with families about our efforts to clean and disinfect facilities and the possibility of changes to large group gatherings. Just four days later, the District announced the suspension of classes.

March 13 ended up being our final in-person day of school this year.

Thanks to our incredible teachers, administrators and support staff for finding new ways to continue school. The final quarter of the school year has included Google meets, online lessons, using technology in new ways for communication and instruction, preparing to-go meals, virtual ceremonies, event cancellations, and a Facebook live Board meeting. We've learned and shared about handwashing, social distancing, and mask protocol to keep families and employees safe. Our Technology Department provides tech assistance and no-contact drop-off and pick-up for devices.

Although the methods may seem very different, one thing remains the same: we do what we do because we care about our students.  Thank you for your patience, understanding, and support as we have experienced a school year unlike any other!
