A Note From the Head of School:
A Celebration of Community Spirit: Bucket by Bucket
Last Thursday was Radcliffe Creek School's Beautification Day. This is a time-honored tradition at our school where the whole community comes together to work on our school grounds. Students, staff, and parents spend the day enhancing our school landscape while music plays and the sun (hopefully) shines. Every single person has a part in creating a safe, pretty place for our children to go to school. Our children get the opportunity to truly experience the value of giving back to their school. They have ownership in its appearance. Children carry mulch, pull weeds, lay sand, trim brush, and plant flowers. The act of contributing to the community with their labor reinforces their sense of belonging to the school we love.
This year Beautification Day felt even more important. Unlike many other schools throughout the world, we are so lucky to have been together this year on our physical campus. It was such a tribute to spruce up 201 Talbot Boulevard, the place that kept our children learning, our spirits strong, and our progress soaring not only this year but for the last twenty-five.
Thank you to the parents who helped us last week!
Enjoy the pictures of our community,
