Principal's Message

Dear Miramonte Community,

Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year! It’s been a great first week, and I’ve loved seeing students reconnect with each other and begin to form new friendships. A special welcome to our incoming 9th Graders, new students, and new staff as they begin their journey as Matadors.

A huge thank you for all of your contributions to ONE-Miramonte and our athletic Boosters Club! Your generous support thus far will allow us to close the funding gap and continue to offer the great classes, services, and supports for all of our students and staff. It's not too late to contribute to our fall drive, so please click here to contribute whatever amount works for your family.

Our Back to School Night is less than two weeks away! Please join us on Thursday, August 25, beginning at 5:30 p.m. for a Parents' Club reception in the Quad. I look forward to meeting you in person, sharing our vision for the year, and joining you as we hear from our fabulous teachers about their classes.

Finally, with regard to schedule change requests, thank you for your patience as our Counselors process requests and work to support your child’s requests. Please remember that our master schedule, staffing assignments, and number of courses in each subject area were built based on all of our students’ original course requests and alternate choices they selected in the spring. This means that there is not much room now for movement or changes. You can visit this page on our website to review more details and procedures for schedule change requests.

I hope your child has had a wonderful first week of school and has a great year. Please reach out to me or our staff if you need anything as we start the year! Thank you, and Go Mats!

Parents' Club Message

Dear Miramonte Families,

Welcome back! It's been so wonderful seeing everyone back on campus this week as we kick off the 2022-23 school year!

We want to extend a warm Matador welcome to our new teachers and staff: Sarah Bowers, Danny Caravalho, Jami Greer, Dax Harris, Shay Kornfeld, Amy Kudenov, Racher Kuiper, Gianna Labarile, Jennifer Lezcano, Julie Mah, Susan McGill, Danielle Noury, Nia Sallee-Payton, Lauren Songponnopachon, Allie Tarantino, Hongmei Wang, and Sabrina Wun. We are excited to have them join the Mats Family!

Our students enjoyed reconnecting at Mats Day while picking up their schedules, textbooks, and Mats Merch. Thank you to our Mats Day chairs Heather Jiannalone, Kira Wampler, and Ann Kunczynski, our generous parent volunteers, and Miramonte Administration for making this an efficient (and fun!) day. And if you didn't have the chance to order Mats Merch over the summer, the merch store has re-opened, so be sure to visit before it closes again on September 4.

Thanks to our Staff Appreciation team - Darien Destino, Stefanie Murphy, Amy Perusse, and Susan Scott – for showing our teachers and staff some love this morning with coffee and treats to start their day.

August means Back to School Night, which will be held on Thursday, August 25, 5:30-8:00 p.m. This is an excellent opportunity to hear from our Administration and visit your student's classrooms (bring a copy of your student's schedule, including room numbers). The evening will start with a reception sponsored by the Parents’ Club, where you can greet old friends, say hello to Principal Campopiano, and introduce yourself to our two new Associate Principals, Jami Greer and Danny Caravalho.

We hope this is a wonderful year for your students! Go Mats!

Warmly,

Meredith Moss and Corrine Dugan

Miramonte Fundraising

Thanks to the 424 Miramonte families who donated to ONE-Miramonte during registration, we’re off to a great start in fundraising.

This year, we have a goal of raising $1,002,000 to meet the budget set by Miramonte Principal Mr. Campopiano in consultation with Miramonte teachers and voted on by the Miramonte Parents’ Club. The money raised by ONE-Miramonte will be used this school year to support the academic classes and programs that make Miramonte an exceptional high school, and contributions benefit every student on campus.

We ask for a donation of $1,300 per student. We have kept the ask the same for the last three years even though we are trying to raise more money this year than last. We aim for 100% participation by Miramonte families.
