Currently the scholar in residence of Classrooms Without Borders, Cranberry Library is please to welcome Avi Ben-Hur. From 1996-2000 Avi taught in Yad Vashem's International School for Holocaust Studies and has lectured and taught in the US, Warsaw, Prague, Berlin and Greece. Ben-Hur will address the capture, trial and influence of the man described as "the banality of evil," Adolf Eichman. Registration is required. Event will be held in Council Chambers. Space is limited.

Children enjoy books, songs, rhymes, manipulatives and movement, followed by a craft. Recommended for ages 19 months - preschool age. Online registration is required.
PEEPS DIORAMA CONTEST

Build a diorama using Peeps candy of any color or type in a standard sized shoe box. The theme is anything literary; for instance, recreate a scene from your favorite book. All characters must be Peeps!
To learn more ask for the Peeps Diorama Contest sheet in the Children's Department.

Entries accepted between
Monday, March 30 and Friday, April 3.

Judging:
Two prizes will be awarded: "Peeple's Choice" and "Staff Favorite."

Voting will take place between Saturday, April 4 and Tuesday, April 14.
Dioramas not picked up by Tuesday April 21 will be discarded.

Tail Waggin' Tutors
Thursdays, March 5 & April 2

For elementary school children. Practice reading with one of our dog tutors on the first Thursday of each month. Online registration is required for a 20-minute reading session with a literature lovin' pup!

Homeschool Crafternoon
Thursdays, March 12 & April 9
1:00-2:00PM
For children ages 6-11. Stop by and make a craft in the Children's Department on the 2nd Thursday of each month. Leave when you've finished the craft, or stay and hang out with other homeschoolers! This is a drop in program, no registration required.

Craft-A-Connection Book Club
Thursdays, March 12 & April 9
6:00-7:00PM
Once a month we'll discuss a book, learn some stuff, and create a craft that goes along with the story. Copies of the book are available at the Circulation Desk to read BEFORE the book club meets. Open to children in 1st-3rd grade. Registration is required.

1st - 6th Grade LEGO Club

Join Ms. Janae in the Children's Department on the 3rd Tuesday of each month to work on the challenge of the month. Or, just free build with other LEGO enthusiasts. This is a drop in program, no registration is required. 1st-6th grades.

Drop-in STEAM Lab

Stop in for our STEAM LAB. Create, learn, and explore during this drop-in program with a focus on STEAM. March's STEAM Lab is "COLORS," while May has us taking on "Earth." Takes place on the 3rd Thursday of each month. All ages welcome. No registration required.

Peter Rabbit Storytime

Come for a reading of "The Tale of Peter Rabbit" with Ann Troxell of the Beatrix Potter Society. Meet Peter Rabbit and make a craft. Geared for children ages 3 through early elementary. Registration is required.

Superhero Party

The library needs saving! Come dressed as a superhero and fight off the villains at our annual Superhero program hosted by the Teen Advisory Board. No registration required! Just stop by!

Tween/Teen Open Game Night

Tweens & teens! Test your gaming skills during our Open Game Nights. This is a drop in program that runs the 1st Thursday of the month. Try your hand at various Wii games in the Teen Zone. Grades 4-12.

Teen Advisory Board (TAB)

Be an important part of the community by helping to plan and run events for kids and teens! TAB members also provide suggestions for new teen book and AV purchases for the library. Group typically meets every other Monday. Teens receive volunteer hours for all TAB events. No registration. For grades 7-12.

Tween/Teen 3D Print Bulbasaur Planters

Learn about succulent plants and paint a 3D printed Bulbasaur planter! For those in 4th-12th grades. Registration is required and space is limited.

Pay $5.00 at the door and read to help raise money for the Cranberry Public Library Makerspace, The Forge. For each hour spent reading you can earn 1 services hour. Registration required.

Please be sure to check all program descriptions for registration requirements. Due to space limits, many programs require registration, but some of them are "drop in."
