Throwback to the '90s!
Lasers and Libations: July 9, 6-9:30 pm
Dress in your favorite '90s fashion and light up the night with Kaleideum's second Adult Laser Extravaganza! Play Laser Tag in the museum, have a '90s-themed snack, taste libations from Broad Branch Distillery, and check out some the '90s favorite entertainers with two hour-long laser shows!

  • 7 pm: Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera
  • 8:30 pm: Backstreet Boys and 'NSYNC

Broad Branch will have a cash bar at the event and has created a special cocktail menu that includes:

  • Genie Out of the Bottle: Broad Branch Pride Rum, chai syrup, and lime
  • I Want It That Spicey Way: Serano-Infused Broad Branch NIghtlab, cucumber and cilantro cordial, lemon, and soda
  • Baby, One More Time: Broad Branch Smashing Violet, simple syrup, lemon, and soda
 
There will also be a '90s-themed snack bar with Lunchables, GoGurt, candy necklaces, Baby Bottle Pops, Gushers, chips, and more!

Tickets give you access to the museum, laser shows and the snack buffet. Tickets to play a 20-minute Laser Tag by Sabertooth Taggers are sold separately. Each session costs an additional $12 and holds up to 10 people. A link will be sent to you after you register to sign up for a session.
 
Advanced registration preferred. Tickets will be available at the door.
 
Adult members $8; Adult non-members $13
Adult members with Laser Tag $20; Adult non-member with Laser Tag $25 
 
There will be a limit of 10 people per Laser Tag session:
 
  • Session 1: 6:30 to 6:50 pm
  • Session 2: 7 to 7:20 pm
  • Session 3: 7:30 to 7:50 pm
  • Session 4: 8 to 8:20pm
  • Session 5: 8:30 to 8:50pm
  • Session 6: 9 to 9:20 pm 

LITTLE INNOVATORS JULY 9: METAL MAKERS
Little learners get a head full of STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and math) with interdisciplinary and hands-on learning. Designed for curious preschoolers, these playful activities focus on themed materials and then expand outward with storytelling, project-based learning, science, discovery, artifact viewing and classroom exploration.

July's theme is: Metal Makers!

Little Innovators occurs every second Saturday at 11:30 am. $5 per member; $8 per non-member. (Ticket includes one adult with one pre-K innovator; adult must attend with child.) Museum admission is not included.
Musical Laser Specials in the Planetarium

Traditional Laser Specials are weekdays at 4 pm and at Noon on Saturday.

Kaleideum has weekend Featured Artists at 4 pm on Saturday and Sunday:
  • July 2 & 3 – Britney Spears
  • July 9 & 10 – Prince
  • July 16 & 17 – Pink Floyd
  • July 23 & 24 – The Beatles
  • July 30 & 31 – Led Zeppelin
 
Laser Specials are $2 for members; $3 for non-members.
 
General Admission is not required if you only want to see a Laser Special and explore the Museum. General Admission is required for all other planetarium programs.

*Parental discretion is advised for Featured Artist Laser Specials.

Summer Hours at Kaleideum
Both Kaleideum North and Kaleideum Downtown are open seven days a week this summer!

Summer hours are:

Monday-Friday: 10 am-5 pm
Saturday: 10 am-5 pm
Sunday: 1-5 pm

At Kaleideum Downtown, summer hours end on Friday, August 19. Kaleideum Downtown will then be closed from Saturday, August 20, through Friday, September 2. Kaleideum Downtown will reopen for weekends on Saturday, September 3.

At Kaleideum North, summer hours end on Labor Day, Monday, September 5.

Do You Need a Spot at Camp Kaleideum?
Some spots are coming open at Camp Kaleideum. If you are interested in a particular camp week, please check the website to make sure there are still spots available.

Please Note: Only camps with availability will be visible on the website.Please email scheduling@kaleideum.org to be placed on the waiting list, and we'll alert you if a spot in a particular camp becomes available.

Explore a hands-on innovation activity that focuses on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) in creative ways. Prism is an engineering and innovation initiative sponsored by the L. David Mounts Foundation.

Science Live!

Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays at Kaleideum North
1-3 pm

Explore science concepts with our Science Live programs! Our staff and volunteers will engage in demonstrations and hands-on programming that will make even the most complex topics accessible. Visitors will learn about meteorology, physics, astronomy, and more!
