Welcome to Student Affairs!
|
|
Welcome to Student Affairs! Our mission is to cultivate support, connection, and growth throughout the student experience – from admission to commencement. Our work is not one-size-fits-all. It honors complexity, understands difference, and seeks fairness. But while we’re variable in implementation, we are consistent in mission. At the heart of our work is a desire to connect our students with resources and programs that nurture their growth, challenge their perspectives, and expand their worldviews.
Together, we offer housing, health, support, and counsel. We provide outlets for recreation, venues for understanding, and opportunities for resolution. And no matter what we’re doing, our work starts with the student. The Division of Student Affairs cannot provide the Tulane Experience, but it can—and will—provide thousands of them.

Housed in the Richardson Building, CIL includes The Office of Multicultural Affairs (OMA), The Office for Gender & Sexual Diversity (OGSD) and Religious Life at Tulane.
As part of New Student Orientation, CIL hosts an orientation program to help new students and their families get connected to resources and individuals who can offer support and advice to ensure students have a successful transition into college.

Equity, Diversity & Inclusion
|
To become a truly great university – defined by breakthrough discovery, world-class scholarship and transformative personal growth and enrichment – Tulane must be an equitable, diverse and inclusive community that welcomes and supports a diverse array of students, faculty and staff. We must foster an environment where each member of our academic family, particularly our Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) and other underrepresented members, are not only supported but are able to thrive. Over the past several years, we have made great progress together, but we know we must do more. Tulane is committed to the advancement of all members of our community.
The university has a variety of initiatives, resources and support mechanisms – you can explore many of them below.
