Course Selection & Early Enrollment Deadline is Tomorrow
At York Catholic, we are grateful for your partnership with us in the education of your children who bless our community every day with their talents. Please read the following information thoroughly as it contains important information regarding course selection, re-enrollment, and tuition assistance for the 2020-2021 school year.

Online Course Selection

Junior High
Junior high students will register for courses online during computer class this month.

Quick Links

Senior High
Senior High students should be talking with their subject level teachers regarding appropriate course selection for 2020-2021. Students in grades 9 through 11 now have access to the online course selection portal in Vision. This will remain open until February 21. During this time, students should select their courses for next school year. After completing the process online, students are instructed to print the course selection sheet and have each of their teachers sign next to the desired subject courses. A parent signature is required as well. These forms will be due February 21.

Parents, please take the time to click here to review our course catalog for next school year. We are excited to be offering four new courses: Music Theory for grades 10-12, American Cultural Studies for grade 12, AP Language & Composition for grade 11, and AP 2D Art and Design for grade 12.

Re-enrollment
In an effort to prepare for the budget and enrollment numbers for next year, our re-enrollment process is aligned with our course selection. Tuition figures for next year will be published in early April after budget approval by the School Board. In order to budget appropriately, we are asking families to re-enroll now. The early re-enrollment fee is $200.00. After February 21, 2020, the re-enrolment fee will increase to $250.00, with an increase to $300.00 after April 3, 2020. $200.00 of the re-enrollment fee will be applied to your child's 2020-2021 fees.

Tuition Assistance
If you plan to apply for tuition assistance for the 2020-2021 school year, please be sure to do so no later than March 1, 2020. Please be sure to note the new deadline as it is earlier than previous years. Please see the additional information below titled " Letter regarding the FACTS Tuition Assistance Application & Neumann Scholarship guidelines ."

For the Kids Friday! Shirt Day

As part of our support of the Four Diamonds for our Mini-THON event, students may pay $1 to wear blue or gold shirts for the Fridays leading up to Mini-THON on March 6. Blue is the official color of the Four Diamonds and yellow is the color recognized in the fight against pediatric cancer. Students should pay their $1 in homeroom on Friday. Uniform pants, skirts, or skorts must be worn.
Junior Rings
It is time for juniors to order a York Catholic keepsake, their class ring. Our Balfour representative met with Juniors this morning and gave them important paperwork to share with their parents.  Balfour accepts orders online, and they will be with us to accept orders in person during lunch periods on March 5 and 6. Our Balfour representative will also be available in the main lobby on March 5 from 4-5:30 PM for parents who would like to be a part of the ordering process. Representatives will be able to assist with sizing, customizing, and orders; they will have full display cases for students to view as they try to select just the right ring. Questions may be directed to Kathy Hand at [email protected].

ArbiterAthlete is now known as Planet HS. If you uploaded your physical information in the fall to ArbiterAthlete, it has automatically transferred to PlanetHS and does not need to be re-entered. Students wishing to participate in athletics must have the following paperwork filed online at PlanetHS.com :
  • PIAA Physical Form
  • Athlete & Parent Agreement (last page of physical form)
  • ImPACT Test
Attention Spring athletes:
  • If you played a Fall or Winter sport this year, please manually complete Section 7 Parent Recertification (click here for form).
  • If you sustained an injury while playing a Fall or Winter sport this year, please have a doctor manually complete Section 8 Physician Recertification (click here for form).
Failure to submit the online paperwork and the supplemental manual paperwork by the deadline will mean the student will not be permitted to practice the first day of the season. For some sports, this could mean the student will not make the team. Click here to access the instructions for uploading information to PlanetHS.com. Students wishing to play a spring sport MUST verify the paperwork and ImPACT test are on file with Mr. Cross no later than Tuesday, February 25, at 3 PM; no exceptions.
