Are you worried about your neighbors in need and wondering how to help? We'd like to introduce you to our giving campaign! The Spirit of Caring campaign was launched with the help of Southwestern University and the Spirit Golf Association. We hope this generous gift of $100,000 from Southwestern University and the Cullen Trust for Higher Education will inspire giving in our community. Help us reach our $150,000 goal for neighbors in need by donating at caringplacetx.org/spiritofcaring. This important campaign is taking the place of The Caring Place's traditional fall fundraising events. If you normally give for Deep in the Heart of Caring or Hunger Free Holidays, please consider this campaign.
What if your single donation could do this?
Don't you love when giving inspires? That's what this whole Spirit of Caring campaign is about. This unique time has brought forth some wonderful stories of neighbors giving to help neighbors. Our very own City of Georgetown staff is no exception. City Manager, David Morgan shares why staff gave and how The Caring Place is important in our community. Thanks to the many in our City that not only gave, but work every day to keep our City moving. You are one of the many reason we love calling Georgetown home.

Breaking News
Volunteer Giving
The Caring Place is known for having some of the best volunteers around. However, it still feels a little unreal when volunteers step up with truly magnificent gifts. Therese and her husband, Carlos, recently did that for us when they heard about damage done to an already old, but imperative piece of equipment. You can read information on that gift in the Press Release section of this newsletter, but here, we invite you to read our blog. This will give you an inside look at volunteering, Therese and the work she and hundreds of other volunteers have been part of for the past 35 years in our community, and how that leads to such a big gift. Oh, and let's not forget about how you can be part of that caring spirit.
