The Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act
The Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act temporarily expands eligibility for SBA Economic Injury Disaster Loans (EIDL) and provides an emergency advance of up to $10,000 to small businesses and private non-profits harmed by COVID-19 within 3 days of applying for an SBA Economic Injury.
The loan advance will provide economic relief to businesses that are currently experiencing a temporary loss of revenue. Funds will be made available within three days of a successful application, and this loan advance will not have to be repaid.

Florida Small Business Emergency Bridge Loan Program
The Florida SBDC at FAU is now supporting access to the two most significant publicly funded small business disaster loans:
- Federal: SBA Economic Injury Business Disaster Loan โ SBDC provides assistance to access this long-term loan (up to 2 Million and terms up to 30 years)
- State: Florida Small Business Emergency Bridge Loan โ SBDC directly receives and processes applications until closing the loan. This is a short term loan, up to $100K for one year.

2020 Florida Blue Health Innovation Challenge
The 2020 Florida Blue Health Innovation Challenge is seeking innovative ways to reduce hospital readmissions in Florida.
ELIGIBILITY
- All entrants must be an undergraduate, graduate or doctorate student at a college or university located in Florida.
- Innovations cannot have been incorporated for longer than 12 months or have investment or annual revenues in excess of $100,000.
- Entrants will be required to pitch their concepts in-person to a panel of health care and business experts during the state finals at the GuideWell Innovation Center in Orlandoโs Lake Nona Medical City in late September/early October 2020.
Deadline to apply is
May 1.

35 Mules Innovation Hub
Florida Power & Light Co. is accepting applications for its newly launched incubator program, 35 Mules.
The Juno Beach-based utility company will commit $1 million in grants for 20 entrepreneurs accepted into the program, in addition to about $1.5 million in resources for their startups. The companies considered for 35 Mules must be developing innovations in energy, water and "energy-adjacent" industries in Florida.
