This article documents a beautiful and crystal-clear dream I had. It is all about dealing with your baggage and those emotional issues that you would rather avoid because they still hurt. In the dream I entered a very old, deserted house - but then I discovered that parts of the house were neglected and dirty, whereas other parts were squeaky clean. I realised this wat my house, and I was in fact living in the house. The house was huge and double storied. For some reason I was only using the downstairs rooms, and I really wanted to go to the first floor, but something prevented me..............

I had lunch with a friend today, a wonderful woman that I have quite recently befriended here in Somerset West. An adult woman a little older than my 47 years with a history of alcoholism, a woman with a journey, a woman of completeness and success who has overcome her trials and tribulations and does so each and every day. She is full of wisdom and knowledge and I so thoroughly enjoy her company in the life I have come to live here in Somerset West. Botswana seems very far away and ...........

I sit in the void, not knowing, not in control, not feeling safe, not anything,

I wonder what is real, what is truth, who can I trust, what I can believe,

Everything seems so unstable, so changeable, so fluid, so shaky, so jelly-like,

That part of me that wants, needs, hungers for certainty is scared, challenged.

With my dear husband’s permission, let me tell you a bit about him. He is the eldest of two, his sister is 10 years younger. He was born 10 June 1960 at the Kingsbury maternity hospital in Newlands where he also lived. Shortly after, they moved to the Gardens in Cape Town where he started school at Tamboerskloof Primary, ..........

I completed my mission 

And so it was time for this body to leave

But know that I am still here in spirit

Connected to you 

By an unwavering indestructible bond of love

Celebrate the life I lived

A 24 year old boy seeing out from the train’s window shouted…

“Dad, look the trees are going behind!”

Dad smiled and a young couple sitting nearby, looked at the 24 year old’s childish behavior with pity, suddenly he again exclaimed…

“Dad, look the clouds are running with us!”

“Why don’t you take your son to a good doctor?” The old man smiled and said…“I did and we are just coming from the hospital, my son was blind from birth, he just got his eyes today.”
