Last Call for 2022 Summer AgriCULTURE Institutes
This is not your ordinary professional development.
This is your last call to register to participate in our 2022 Summer AgriCULTURE Institutes. These hands-on, five-day, professional development courses are designed for teachers - all grade levels and all disciplines.
Attention teachers in Wyoming and New Mexico! Thanks to a generous sponsorship from the Rocky Mountain Farmers Union, we would like to invite you to attend either one of our Summer AgriCULTURE Institutes. You'll pay the same $95 rate as Colorado teachers and are eligible for the same renewal credits.
SAI 101: Fort Collins – July 11-15, 2022: This course explores agriculture in Northeast Colorado. Did you know that the agriculture industry in Larimer and Weld Counties alone account for nearly $2 billion? Participants will experience as much of that agriculture as can be packed into this 5-day course. Tours include: ARDEC, CO Seed Lab, National Lab for Genetic Resource Preservation, CSU Wheat Breeding and Genetics Program, a discussion on bugs, a fish hatchery, Mountain View Feeders, Morning Fresh Farms, TWO forest and watershed restoration sites, Root Shoot Malting, plus more, and we'll end the week at Gregory Allicar Museum of Art. >>Click here to register for SAI 101: Fort Collins.<<
SAI 101: Pueblo – July 18-22, 2022: This course will bring the heat – literally and figuratively. While participants are sure to experience the climate of southeastern Colorado in the height of summer, it will be well worth it to also see crops of that region at the height of their production. Tours include: Milberger Farms, Steelworks Center of the West, AB Cattle, DiSanti Farm, Springside Cheese Shop, Hanagan Farms, Hiraka Farm, Arkansas Valley Research Center, Knapp's Farm, Larga Vista Farm, Excelsior Farmers Exchange, Krage Manufacturing, TR Toppers, to name a few, and we'll end the week at the Pueblo Reservoir. >>Click here to register for SAI 101: Pueblo.<<
The registration fee for educators is $95, which includes 2.5 Continuing Education Units (37.5 clock hours). Three graduate level credits from Colorado State University are available for an additional cost (CFA will pay for half of the CSU credits).
