Thursday, May 27th at 10:30 am, we will be at the Capitol discussing ways to advance youth justice in CT- the first step being the passage of the strongest JJPOC bill possible.

We will have CTJA staff, JAs and legislators as speakers & you don't want to miss it!

We will be giving away some goodies, and have lots of info to share so please join us! Come with a sign, or grab one the JAs made throughout the week.

2021 Legislative Session Update

Come join us at the Capitol on Thursday, May 27th to get the JJPOC Bill- HB 6667- called in the Senate and the House!
Clean Slate has passed in the Senate! This is very exciting news that represents a critical step forward in the journey for this bill to become a law.
SB 972 – connecting families with free prison communication – was passed out of the Senate yesterday afternoon and is now on the House calendar.
SB 1058 regarding compassionate parole release passed out of the Senate on 5/14 and is also on the House calendar.
SB 1059 PROTECT ACT, needs to be called on the Senate and House floor!
