In times of COVID-19 almost everyone will be confronted with working from home. But can employees also enforce working from home after COVID-19? The legislative proposal “Werken waar je wil” (Work Where You Want) reinforces the employees’ right to choose their place of work.
Widerman Malek was proud to sponsor the No Bad Days Foundation’s 2021 Virtual Step Up for Hope Event & Silent Auction. Every year, No Bad Days hosts an annual kickball tournament fundraiser called “Kickin’ It For Hope” to raise money to purchase life-enhancing medical devices and other necessities for children with disabilities that have been denied by insurance.
Unfortunately, they were not able to hold the in-person tournament and family fun day this year due to the pandemic. Instead, they created a virtual walk competition and silent auction which raisedover $8,400 for No Bad Days and the special needs children it supports!
“These families and their children struggle every day just to have the basic needs every human deserves. Especially in the pandemic, I am continually amazed at their strength and determination to accomplish what others may consider routine tasks. It is an honor to help, even in some small way, and give back to our community,” says Mark Warzecha, partner of Widerman Malek and founder of the No Bad Days Foundation.
