President’s Note
Well --- just when we thought it was safe to go back in the water!
As if the pandemic weren’t enough, ole Mother Nature decided she would test us with cold and snow, and unfortunately it wasn’t a pleasant experience for many of us. I do hope you and your family are safe, and are on the way to recovering from whatever situation you found yourself in after the last newsletter arrived on Feb 15th.
We haven’t developed any special programs to help our members, as both the pandemic and the winter storm affected pretty much every one of us to some degree or another. But if you find that you had extensive damage, and need some kind of assistance, please let me know. We are all in this together, and should be helping each other out as best we can.
I, myself, had my burst pipe repaired by a plumber who drove all the way from Connecticut to help us out for a couple of weeks. It was so meaningful that he would even think to do that, but I hear that many people from all over the country decided to come help us get back going again. So we certainly should help our neighbors as best we can.
TMTA is in the middle of Theory Test grading, and Regional Performance Contest videos and Teacher of the Year nominations are due. Please check below for the dates of all of these, and contact the appropriate person with any questions you might have.
Looking forward to some warmer weather, and, oh my, when does hurricane season start again????
Be Safe, Be Healthy, and Be In Tune with TMTA.
Dr. Roy Wylie, NCTM
