Apologies for the late email on a Friday evening, but this update is hot off the press from Council Services staff:

The City Council hearing for Monday, April 6 will be conducted via Zoom and will include a letter of introduction for the following bills:
  • the 2019 IDO Annual Update (O-20-10)
  • Redline Draft: incorporates proposed Technical Edits as recommended by the Environmental Planning Commission (EPC)
  • City Council amendments: includes relevant recommended Conditions of Approval from the EPC
  • a text amendment to the IDO to create a North 4th Character Protection Overlay (CPO) Zone (O-20-9)
  • a resolution to establish an order for Community Planning Area (CPA) assessments for the first cycle from 2021-2025 (R-20-27)
  • Priority Analysis

The Letter of Introduction introduces bills that will be heard in the future. There is no public comment taken for this action.

These three bills will be referred to the Land Use, Planning, and Zoning (LUPZ) committee meeting for review and recommendation.
  • Note: The Letter of Introduction says that the CPA assessment order will be heard at the City Council hearing on 4/20/2020, but this will be revised Monday when the Council accepts the Letter of Introduction.

We will send an update next week about how the LUPZ meeting(s) will go.
