Scouting for Food Campaign
The need for food has never been more critical than during this pandemic. So many in our local communities have become food insecure. Now is our chance to do our daily good turn.

On Saturday, September 12th from 9 a.m. to 11 am, GLAAC will host Scouting for Food at multiple locations throughout our council area. We are excited to add Scouting for Food as a regular part of our annual Scouting program moving forward. Read More
2021 Summer Resident Camp Reservations
We are looking forward to the 2021 season now more than ever as we’re hopeful the “COVID-19” is apart of our past. Scouts BSA Summer Resident Camp reservations are now first come first serve. This means if you haven’t booked the same week, another unit has the opportunity to reserve your camp. Reserve Now
Our Council in Partnership with Trail's End Popcorn will be offering FREE SHIPPING for all orders over $30 starting at 8:00PM (EDT) on September 10 and lasts at least until 8:00PM (EDT) on September 17. This is a great opportunity for Scouts to share their online fundraising page with friends and family via social media, text and email to help support their Scouting adventures. Camp Trask Closure Notice
As many of you know the Bobcat Fire is threatening many of our Scouting families who live in the Foothill communities along the 210-freeway corridor. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with all of you as this ordeal continues to unfold. Camp Trask located in Monrovia Canyon Park is also being threatened and is part of the Monrovia evacuation order that is currently issued. Read More

While everyone is itching to get outdoors, sometimes it's a little difficult to get motivated to log off our devices and get moving. Why not make it a unit challenge to see who can earn a Presidential Active Lifestyle Award? There's also a Unit award that includes some great ideas to add movement to your (virtual) meetings and a patch for older Scouts who complete exercises to combat non-prescription medication abuse. Scouting Financial Assistance Request Form
Part of the Greater Los Angeles Area Council’s commitment to our community is to ensure that Scouting is available to every child. This includes providing funding resources for families that want to participate in Scouting but are experiencing financial strain. Our Council has funds available for families for who are in need of assistance with the National Registration and local program fees.

Interested in Law Merit Badge?
Saturday, November 14 from 9am until 4:00pm come check out a unique experience that allows Scouts interested in legal careers to complete the requirements for Scouting's Law Merit Badge. It will provide Scouts with an understanding of criminal law, civil law, legal history and the opportunity to participate in a mock trail. Click here for more information and registration.
Small Group Reopening Webinar Recap Video and Presentation
