The June 13th diocesan service will celebrate Pride Month. Do you identify as lgbtqia+? The service coordinators (Rev. Dana Stivers and Rev. Thom Rock) are collecting photos from around the diocese of Episcopal Maine lgbtqia+ individuals and/or families (related or chosen) to incorporate into the service. If you'd like to share your photograph, please do so by May 28th by emailing Katie Clark or uploading your photo to this folder.

Wear Orange for Gun Safety Awareness |
|
Wear orange on National Gun Violence Awareness Day which is observed every year on the first Friday in June. Wearing orange clothing that day and through the weekend will help bring attention to the scourge of gun violence which every day in the U.S. cuts more than 100 lives short and wounds hundreds more.
Episcopal Peace Fellowship Maine is a chapter of the national organization who works on local peace initiatives, gun safety, and racial and indigenous justice both within their parish and the diocese as well as on national and international issues. Members of St. James', Old Town staff the "drive-thru" table at one of the church's free monthly meals. Although the coronavirus pandemic has changed how churches across the state offer suppers, it has not stopped the tradition entirely.

They have accepted an invitation from Christ Church Episcopal in Hudson, New York to be Co-Priests in Charge. John formerly served at Church of Our Father, Hulls Cove, and Kathleen at St. Andrew and St. John’s, Southwest Harbor.

We offer prayers for the Ahli Arab Hospital in Gaza, owned and operated by the Episcopal Diocese of Jerusalem. The Ahli Hospital, a recipient of a Diocese of Maine's International Poverty Grant, remains open and is desperately trying to keep serving patients through their many programs while struggling to cope with the arrival of the injured. Celebrate Pentecost with Way of Love Revival |
|
The Episcopal Church invites you to a Pentecost Way of Love Revival Worship Service designed to fan the flames of hope, celebrate difference, honor creation, foster beloved community, and send people toward Jesus’s Way of Love.
Most churches will have their local Pentecost celebrations Sunday morning. All are invited to a virtual Pentecost Way of Love Revival Worship Service at 4 pm.

Churchwide Pentecost Worship from Philadelphia, Navajoland, Seattle, St. Louis, & D.C.
“Pentecost is the season when we celebrate the birth of the church and the Spirit landing on the glorious diversity of God’s people,” said Presiding Bishop Michael Curry. “Thanks to vaccinations and CDC recommendations, it’s also the moment when lots of our churches can finally open their arms more fully to the public. We want to mark this moment of renewal with a revival and pray that God would rain blessing, guidance and power down on all people.”
