In the know ....

Congratulations to Amanda and Michael Grunewald on the birth of their son - Julian Michael!

Julian was born on Thursday, May 7 at 9:33 a.m., weighing in at 7 lbs. 3 oz.

We're looking for "in honor of" or "in memory of" donations to purchase geraniums and fillers for Pentecost and Memorial Day. You can send in a check or give online (click here ). Remember to let us know who you are honoring with the donation.

Also, if anyone is thinning out their perennials and willing to donate some of them to the church, please do so! Tina and Theresa love to work on the grounds to make the outside of church as beautiful as the inside.

Question: How has the work of our PNC been impacted by the
pandemic?

Answer: Since our PNC was formed in early spring, we have met five times, most recently on May 13th. We continue to discuss the characteristics our new pastor should have in order to thrive in our church and how he or she can help us reach our mission and vision goals. Eventually, our conversations will transform into a written document called a MIF. And, ironically, the pandemic has meant that we are all freer to meet! We are very much engaged and steadily moving forward. Please continue to keep us in your prayers.

Living our faith ...
Have you figure out these hands yet?!
The FirstPres Food Pantry is so thankful for your GENEROUS donations - monetary and otherwise. You have been so generous, that we do not need anything more at this time.

As we slowly make our way back to the norm, our food pantry can always use hearty soups, stews, etc.

If you or your family are in need of assistance from the FirstPres Food Pantry, please contact the church office. And please know that your request will remain in strict confidence.

Be safe, healthy and happy!
