Depth and Complexity at Vessels
You may have noticed your Bulldog coming home and talking about the ethical perspectives of a particular situation or looking at problems through a multiple perspective lens. This is because we have taken the prompts of depth and complexity and layered them into our daily teaching repertoire.
The prompts of depth and complexity were developed in 1994 to provide gifted students learning opportunities to guide the acquisition of skills or content and stimulate depth and complexity. At Vessels, WE believe using the prompts is just good teaching and is appropriate for all students! Please watch the attached video to find out more about what we do at Vessels every day!

Hall0ween at Vessels
This year, we are dressing up at Vessels to show our school spirit and have fun while we are at it. Please see the Halloween dress guidelines to keep our Bulldogs safe and comfortable all day while at school.

The 2021-2022 Vessels Elementary Turkey Trot-A-Thon
Join us as we have fun and raise money for our programs, all while running like turkeys! Get excited for November 12 and the live streaming event of the decade!

Read, Read, Read!
The benefits of reading with your child daily are vast and help to give children the confidence and skill to become better readers with each story. Please help us by reading with your child every single day. What you do now will help support a love for reading and learning that will last a lifetime. Health Reminders
We encourage families to follow health and safety practices in accordance with the California Department of Public Health and the Orange County Health Care Agency:
- If your child has symptoms related to COVID-19, please make sure they stay home and get tested if necessary.
- Please keep them home from school if they exhibit the following symptoms: fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, diarrhea.
- If a member of your household tests positive for COVID-19 or is awaiting test results, please do not send your child to school and notify the Vessels front office.
- Limit close contact with people who are sick, and avoid sharing food, drinks, or utensils.
