Daily Reflection

Dear St. John's Community,

We want your help to make this year's Palm Sunday really celebratory! Here's how:

If you can, record a 20-second video of yourself or your household waving palm fronds or any kind of greens, and shouting "Hosanna!" or "Hosanna in the highest!" just like the people did when they greeted Jesus as he entered Jerusalem. You can record this with your phone if you like. Since it might be hard to get palms, feel free to use branches with green leaves or anything along those lines. Have fun with it and get creative. If kids want to make palm fronds with pen and paper and cut them out, that will work. Film yourselves inside or outside, so long as you practice safe distancing.

Then, simply upload your videos at the link here .

We plan to stitch these clips together as part of our Sunday worship this weekend. We need the clips by Thursday in order to be included. The plan is to have many people represented on the screen at the same time. (It will be fun to see each other again in this way!)

We have some other surprises in store for this this Sunday as well. Be sure to tune in. Although it is not what any of us would have expected, this will be an unforgettable Holy Week.
