Flying The Space Shuttle
Have you ever wanted to learn how to fly a space shuttle? Well, you'll get a chance this afternoon at the Lake Travis Community Library. Unfortunately, a real space shuttle will not be available, but astronaut and retired Navy Capt. Ken Cockrell will!

Capt. Cockrell was our Grand Marshal in the 4th of July parade and spoke at the Pageantry of Flags ceremony at the Activity Center yesterday, sharing his experience working with NASA. He will share more of his story at the library today at 2 p.m., so come out. The best part, it's FREE to attend!

Last Chance to Offer Your Feedback
Next week will be the last opportunity to give formal comment with two transportation groups for the future of our roadways here in Lakeway.

TxDOT is offering formal comment thru July 11 on the RM 620 Road Improvement Project expected to begin in late 2022. Click here to review plans and offer your feedback.

CAMPO is accepting comments for future plans of our roadways here in the Lakeway area, more specifically the Regional Arterials Study. Click here to review the online open house. CAMPO will be accepting formal comments thru July 15.
NEW: We Need Your Input

We need your input on the Comprehensive Plan Draft Vision Statement. The results of the Comprehensive Plan survey and town hall meeting are being used by the steering committee to confirm the long term vision and goals that the community desires. Once the final vision is in place, it will help drive the future of Lakeway towards 2040.

Please visit our Facebook page at Facebook.com/cityoflakeway to 'like' or comment on the full draft vision statement and 'like' our page while you're there.
